1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer CST 4×4

This 1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer CST 4×4 has been retrofitted with a 6.2-liter V8 with a Holley Terminator X ECU, a Brian Tooley Racing Truck Norris camshaft, and Schoenfeld exhaust headers. Power is sent through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission, a dual-range transfer case, and a Positraction limited-slip rear differential. The lifted suspension features Offroad Design components and Bilstein shocks, and additional equipment includes a BDS dual steering stabilizer, WARN locking front hubs, power steering, a Wilwood Hydroboost brake system, and 17″ Weld Racing wheels.

The truck was repainted in two-tone Bridgehampton Blue and Summit White, and the cabin was fitted with TMI Products front bucket seats upholstered with white and blue Highlander-style covers. Further details include AMP Research power-deployable running boards, Vintage Air climate control, a JL Audio sound system, and an Ididit steering column. This K5 Blazer CST has traveled approximately 503 miles since the completion of the build.

BODY & EXTERIOR

The body was removed from the frame and mounted to a rotisserie during the build. The frame was media-blasted and powder-coated, and the body was repainted in Bridgehampton Blue and Summit White. The hardtop was also refreshed and fitted with a replacement hatch. It is equipped with AMP Research power-deployable running boards, chrome bumpers, LED exterior lights, and CST badging.

SUSPENSION, STEERING & BRAKES

An Offroad Design shackle flip kit adds 4″ of lift, and the truck has also been outfitted with additional Offroad Design steering and suspension components, as well as Bilstein shocks, a BDS dual steering stabilizer, WARN locking front hubs, and power steering. The brakes have been upgraded with Wilwood Hydroboost components and front calipers. The 17″ Weld Racing wheels are mounted with Toyo Open Country Xtreme tires.

INTERIOR & COMFORT

TMI Products front bucket seats and the rear bench are upholstered with white and blue Highlander-style covers, which extend to the rear side panels. A sound-deadening material was applied throughout the interior and black carpeting was installed. Amenities include a center console with integrated cup holders, Vintage Air climate control, a JL Audio Media Master Bluetooth audio receiver, and an aftermarket steering wheel mounted to an Ididit column with a Lokar shift linkage.

INSTRUMENTATION

Classic Instruments gauges include a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, an analog clock, and gauges measuring coolant temperature, oil pressure, fuel level, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 503 miles. Total mileage is unknown.

ENGINE

The 6.2-liter V8 is equipped with a Holley Terminator X ECU, a Brian Tooley Racing Truck Norris camshaft, Brian Tooley Racing valve covers, an aluminum radiator with dual electric fans, and Schoenfeld exhaust headers linked with Magnaflow mufflers and Borla outlets.

TRANSMISSION & DRIVETRAIN

The 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission is equipped with an FTI Street Brawler series torque converter and distributes power through a dual-range transfer case, which is protected by a skid plate.
